Game localization
and so much more!
About Localicows
It all starts with one man: Ludovic Seigneurin, "your localization wayfinder", some cows, and a lot of open-source stuff. Sometime you'll see "I", sometimes "we", this is mainly because I work as an independent freelancer, but not necessarily alone. This is a one-person company, based in Normandy (France), in the countryside, but tech-savvy and working for people around the globe. I consider myself crafty and adaptable, even though I will never stop learning. I strive for excellence in what I do, so you can expect a lot of questions for improvement purposes.
Gameloc portfolio
You can see most of the projects I currently am credited for on my itch.io profile. The only exception is The Magical Mixture Mill by Glowlight.
Another project I am proud of is Psychroma by Rocket Adrift Games.
Feeling this page is a bit too empty? Yeah, me too. Feel free to contact me and add your game to the list!
Editorial translation
French translation of Mark Galeotti's Putin's Wars, From Chechnya to Ukraine
The European publishing house Gremese Editore asked ISIT for students to translate the book from English into French. Ten students in the last year of their Master's degree were chosen (after volunteering) to work on the project. I was one of them, along with my classmates Olivia Conti, Dylan Desperies, Juliette Ducasse, Léonore Freudenreich, Eva Gestkoff-Podziouban, Pauline Layan-Fresel, Adèle Lemaître, Carla Le Nouy, and Eloïse Woolmore.
Our group was guided by professional literary translator Cyril Laumonier, whom I'll never thank enough for his help with this project. We were also assisted by ISIT higher-ups in communicating with the publisher. I took part in the project by translating and copy-editing several parts of the book, and performed monolingual reviewing of others parts. I also assisted our project manager Juliette in dealing with internal deadlines, feedback implementation, and general organization.
Work experience
You can find my work history on LinkedIn, or ask me directly if you want my latest resume or some specific pieces of information. "Jack of all trades, master of none"... still better than master of one!
Academics
I attended ISIT (Paris Intercultural School) and am always glad to get in touch with other former students. Do not hesitate to come say hello at Alumnisit!
